What does safeguarding cover at Oxfam Pacific?

It covers any type of sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment and all forms of child abuse.

How do we address safeguarding?

We strive to ensure that everyone is safe to participate in our programs.

We are committed to having effective procedures, measures and safe practices to prevent, respond to and protect individuals so they are safe from us, and

We continuously work to improve programs that will help keep people safe from others.

Do you want to raise safeguarding concern or file a safeguarding report?

Anyone can raise concern or make a complaint. All concerns and reports are treated with strict confidentiality. Reporting will not affect your funding or assistance to your community.

What happens when you raise safeguarding concern or report an incident

You can report your concerns or report an incident at any time!

Safeguarding concerns and incidents are handled on a ‘need-to-know’ basis. Only trained and relevant personnel will have access to the information you provide. UNLESS there is a possibility that it may cause more harm and/or is a breach of your local laws.

All concerns received are acted on swiftly following the process below. However, the timeline will vary depending on the nature and complexity of the case.
